Welcome to Nidd Valley Riding Club… Founded in 1967 by Ruth Cuthbertson and Romola Webster.  The club originally met in a field belonging to John Webster on what is now the site of St James' Retail Park at Knaresborough. The Riding Club caters for senior & juniors members aged 15+ only.  Currently we have over 100 members with interests in a wide range of equestrian activities including Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country. The riding club meets at a number of venues on a regular basis.  Our members are welcome to join us on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Please click here to download application form *** Team Events 2012 Novice Indoor Show Jumping Date: 12^th Feb 2012 Venue: Bishop Burton Format: A team of four, each to jump 2 rounds, 1^st round 80cm, 2^nd round 80cm against the clock, all scores to count, best three in the event of equality of teams. Festival of the Horse Combined Training Date: 12^th Feb 2011 Venue: Bishop Burton · Format: A team will be made up of four riders. Two riders will compete at novice level: Prelim 14 (2006) and 75cm and two riders at intermediate level: Novice 27 (2007) and 85cm.  Penalties incurred in the show-jumping phase will be deducted from the net good marks of the dressage phase to arrive at an individual competitor’s score. The best three score count towards the team score. Qualifies: The highest placed individual from each arena, not in a qualifying team and the winning team.
