Nidd Valley Riding Club (NVRC) was founded in 1967 by Ruth Cuthbertson and Romola Webster. The club originally met in a field belonging to John Webster on what is now the site of St James’ Retail Park at Knaresborough. NVRC is now an established riding club with members spread across West and North Yorkshire. We actively encourage riders of all abilities to improve both their riding and horsemanship.
We offer membership for riders and social members over the age of 18, and we are part of the Area 4 region of British Riding Clubs, one of the largest Areas in the country, covering most of North, East, & West Yorkshire.
We make use of excellent riding venues across North and West Yorkshire, and work with experienced, fully qualified instructors who provide expert coaching in a friendly and supportive environment for riders and horses of all abilities.
