The day of the Horse trials started bright & sunny but cool so was ideal for the novice team

We started well with some reasonable dressage scores with Lucy & her lovely pony doing an excellent test. We then had 2 lovely clear show jumping rounds by Rebecca & Lucy & Gerald on 4 faults. The cross country course was inviting with the main question coming at fences 4 & 5 two logs at right angles to each other where unfortunately Rebecca had 20 penalties in an otherwise lovely round, Gerald went clear & lucy 's pony unfortunately wasn't keen on the ditch later in the course but jumped a super round apart from that. Rebecca finished 14th in her arena & Gerald finished 12th in his. so well done everyone.

The intermediate team was only running with 3 riders & unfortunately Jayne's horse was lame & had to be withdrawn before dressage & Aimee's lovely young horse Bordeaux did the dressage & Show jumping but pulled a shoe off & went lame so couldn't run cross country. So it was left to Sara & college Diamond to keep our end up & she did a good Dressage & was clear both show jumping & cross country to finish 3rd individually.

The open team of Harriet, Aimee & Kimberly did very well to win the open team competition & the Pauline Wood Trophy. Aimee also won individually with Kimberly 2nd & Harriet 4th.
